We know everybody is excited about virtual reality, so what about those cheap headgears where you put your good and old smartphone and goes down into a virtual roller coaster or watch movies in a big virtual screen?
Nah, you are right… If you tried those, you agree that this is not the best experience you can get in VR world.
When we use those VR gears like Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, we see expensive computers, bulky equipment and an experience just a little bit better than the ones we get with cellphones.
So, what if we could merge both real and virtual worlds in our day-to-day? Microsoft actually made this, and according to many presentation videos we have seen, it actually works pretty good!
This amazing technology masterpiece called Hololens, looks like a futuristic snow goggle packed with all the latest technology available, like multiple sensors, holographic processors, speakers, cameras, lenses and transparent LCD displays.
The result is the most expensive (the Development Edition is advertised for USD 3,000.00 at Microsoft website) and immersive experience possible today.
From gaming, communications, design, learning, architecture, engineering and medicine, we can see that there are limitless possibilities for Hololens.
In the end, we conclude that for the best virtual reality experience, we will have to rely in our dreams while we are asleep since it will take some time to put our hands in this cool tech and use it in a daily basis 🙂
